Cthulhu Dark is a cosmic horror roleplaying game set in the world of H. P. Lovecraft. It is about the things we fear, amplified until they become unbearable: pure horror before which humans are helpless. You cannot defeat the Mythos or fight it. You can only watch, run, hide and go mad with fear.
In the book you will find:
- The rules of Cthulhu Dark, simple and flexible.
- Guidelines for writing mysteries, step by step, up to describing the horror to your players.
- A guide to the threats of the Mythos, from the Colour out of Space to Erich Zann, showing how to use aliens, artifacts and sorcery.
- Two scenarios, each with a mystery ready to play.
Author Graham Walmsley is back in print in Italy after Il Gusto del Delitto. The game builds on his earlier work Stealing Cthulhu, an essay on Lovecraft's writings, and it is easy to play and to teach.
