878 Vikings is a game of conquest and territory control. Each player leads one of 4 factions, split into two sides: the Viking invaders and the English nobles trying to resist the invasion.
- The Vikings lead the Norwegian Free Men and the Berserker Assault Troops.
- The English lead the Huscarl Royal House Troops and the Thegn Regional Nobles.
- The English can also call on the Fyrd, peasant fighters, to defend their cities.
The game is designed to play best with 4, but it works very well with 2 too. This is the Italian edition.
