Two to five friends gather around a table, create revolutionaries, imagine threats and fight to make their country a better place. With a little luck, they change the world. If not, they die as martyrs.
In Compagni you tell the story together: now and then you roll dice, but mostly you talk. The GM keeps things moving, but the players are the stars. The rules are simple and tell stories full of hope, deceit, danger and betrayal. The game is easy to teach, even for new GMs, and draws inspiration from Apocalypse World, Monsterhearts and Night Witches.
The 170 page book contains:
- Ten booklets with revolutionary archetypes, including the Demagogue, the Mystic, the Artist, the Worker and the Brute
- A guide to the core mechanics
- Instructions for teaching the game and running the first session
- A GM guide to bring your revolution to life with very little prep
- Khresht: 1915, a complete setting you can play right away
- Plenty of examples of play
