What if you could go back to the Cretaceous? Predation starts from the system of Numenera and The Strange and takes you back millions of years, to a time before Humanity even existed. Our ancestors will not come down from the trees for another 66 million years, but you are already here, to explore and build a society in the jungles of the primeval Earth. Then SATI messed everything up, and an asteroid is heading your way.
It is a setting between science fiction and survival, in a wild, primordial world. You get:
- A detailed background and places to discover
- New technologies and equipment
- Factions and conflicts to deal with
- New creatures and characters, from supersaurs and cyberdrones to genetically engineered spiders
- New character types and abilities, such as the Volcanic Karn or the Empirical Tec who Walks with Dinosaurs
How would it feel to have a dinosaur companion, maybe a raptor or a tyrannosaur? The game is fully compatible with Numenera and The Strange.
