In Faraway you explore Alula, a fantasy world of forests, golden cities and night landscapes. Over 8 rounds each player picks a region card and lines it up in front of them, then at the end the path is revealed backwards, right to left: every inhabitant who finds the resources they seek gives you fame. Everyone plays together, with hardly any waiting.
How to play
- The game lasts 8 rounds: in each one everyone secretly picks a region card from their hand at the same time and adds it to the row in front of them.
- Whoever played the lowest number picks a new card from the centre first. Anyone who played a higher number than their previous card also takes a sanctuary card.
- At the end cards are revealed backwards, from last to first: each one scores based on the resources and symbols visible at that moment.
- The player with the most fame wins.
- 2 to 6 players, games of about 30 minutes
- Backwards scoring, unlike any other card game
