Challenges and riches on the banks of the legendary river of Rokugan. In Il Fiume d'Oro you build your trading empire along the river while trying to gain influence at the courts of Rokugan, a legendary realm where divine favour can change your fate.
Players are river merchants allied with legendary samurai clans, each of them out to use the river to win wealth, glory and wisdom. Will you invest in developing ports, markets, shrines and more along the banks of the busy river? Or will you sail the golden river, growing your wealth and influence through delivery contracts, visits to the nobility and a little divine favour when times get tough?
The board is beautiful, with raised elements in metallic gold, illustrated by fantasy cartographer Francesca Baerald.
