In Koi you are carp breeders building a Japanese pond, laying tiles with koi, water, water lilies, lanterns and more. Each turn you choose to Work, expanding your garden, or to Meditate for powerful bonuses, while trying to complete the shared goals. A relaxing yet strategic game, with beautiful 3D components.
How to play
- Each player is a koi in the pond: on your turn you play movement cards, each with two, three or four programmed moves, such as forward, turn or leap a space.
- The goal is to eat as many dragonflies and frogs as possible: each dragonfly is worth 3 points.
- With Natural Beauty cards you add lily pads, cherry blossoms, stones and frogs to the pond: lily pads spawn dragonflies, blossoms ripple the water and push the other fish around.
- The koi that has eaten the most wins.
- 1 to 4 players
