Sometimes you have exactly the right tool or the perfect hunch, and sometimes it is great to give players just a touch of inspiration, a bit more narrative control, or a small reward after a tough encounter. The 50 Advantage cards do exactly that, adding a new dimension to any session of Numenera, The Strange or Cypher System.

At the end of an adventure or an important encounter, or whenever you want to reward a clever idea, give your players a card from the deck. You can draw one at random or pick one that feels right. The card is a resource the player keeps and uses whenever they like. Players get more narrative power, characters can be a little inspired even when the players aren't, and the whole group has more fun.
