Deep in the mountain the gold diggers dig tunnels to reach the treasure, but saboteurs hide among them. In Saboteur nobody knows who to trust: you build tunnels with cards, break other players' tools and trigger cave ins, until you find out who wins between diggers and saboteurs.
How to play
- At the start everyone secretly gets a role: gold digger or saboteur. At the end of the mine there are three face down cards, and only one hides the gold.
- On your turn you play a card: a tunnel piece to get closer to the gold, a card that breaks or repairs another player's tools, a rockfall or a map to peek at one of the goal cards.
- With broken tools you cannot dig tunnels, and the saboteurs try to divert and block the tunnels without being found out.
- If the tunnel reaches the gold the diggers win, otherwise the saboteurs. Nuggets are shared out and after three rounds the player with the most wins.
- Ages 8 and up
- New edition with base game and expansion
- By Frederic Moyersoen and Alexander Jung
