Rediscover an altered world

Altered is set in a world created entirely from scratch for this card game and shaped by an intriguing story, to be uncovered card after card.

In a reality where a cataclysm brought into the world creatures from other places and even from imagination or dreams, humans settled on the peninsula of Asgartha, then sealing off its borders to protect themselves from the dangers outside. After centuries, however, they are finally ready to set foot once more beyond the gates and explore the altered lands that were once their world, guided by the powers of the Heroes and their Companions, bound by imagination and the ability to use it to influence the world.

Over time, moreover, many individuals found connection and communion in their aims and interests, giving rise to Factions that embody the diversity of society and the collective effort poured into the rediscovery of the world. Every Hero belongs to one of these Factions and faces the challenges the world sets before them in the unique way this entails. The Factions of Altered, which also define the affinity of each deck, are:

• Axiom: creators of wonders and innovative technologies
• Bravos: born heroes, brave and free
• Lyra: artists and creatives in constant motion
• Muna: guardians in deep connection with nature
• Ordis: protectors of order and defenders of justice
• Yzmir: scholars of the arcane and the unknown

Together they all work side by side, despite divisions and disagreements, to tame the Chaos that defines the world beyond Asgartha and restore to humanity its origins and its homeland: join them and set off on the great adventure that Altered has in store for you!

A revolutionary change

Although classified as a collectible card game, Altered is a title that from the very outset presents itself as radically different from the rest of the sector. The reasons lie in both its mechanics and its collectible component, both overturned compared to the norm.

The game is based on decks defined by a Hero and their faithful Companion, who also determine the Faction the included cards will belong to.

In practice, turns are an exchange of moves back and forth between the two players, during which cards are played with the aim of establishing supremacy over various areas of exploration: when both players have passed, the conditions of these areas are checked and the Hero and Companion advance accordingly along the path they form. The winner is the first player able to reunite their Hero with their Companion by means of Spells, Characters and other Permanents.

The gameplay is therefore simple and ensures adrenaline-fuelled games without excessive waiting times, while the freshness of the deckbuilding and the gaming experience is guaranteed by the game's unprecedented collectible approach.

Altered in fact offers cards in three different rarities:

• Commons: the basic version of the cards
• Rares: every Common card has two Rare versions, both differing from the original in their stats. One of the two Rare versions is also altered so as to belong to another Faction, offering enormous variety during deckbuilding
• Uniques: these are the most unusual cards. Every single Unique card is - of course - unlike any other in the world. They feature variations in terms of stats and Faction and allow you to build decks impossible to replicate, to surprise your opponent during the game and to surprise yourself every time you open a booster! These cards are limited to 3 per deck.

The game is also born with a modern approach and unprecedented digital management: every card features a QR Code that lets you add it to your virtual collection, giving you the chance to print it at any time! With the introduction of the Foilers, moreover, you can apply the foil finish to your cards, allowing you to have them printed with that holographic finish that TCG veterans know all too well.
